On the traditional saddle the stirrup is sideways. When you put your foot into it you have to twist the stirrup and fender with your foot_ thus putting stress on the ankle. The Stirrup Straight will alleviate twisting. When using the Stirrup Straight the stirrup is off center_ this puts the fender and stirrup forward and helps alleviate stress in the knee.
